As some of you may have heard, a young Carlsbad mother named Kathy Scharbarth was kidnapped and murdered over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. She is the older sister of 18+ San Diego Knights player Mike Scharbarth. Mikes parents are fixtures at most Knights games and Kathy came out to see quite a few as well. As you can imagine, this is devastating to the family, including Kathy’s 13 year old daughter, Madison. A fund has been set up for her benefit and if you feel inclined to contribute, please see the information below. Additionally, Frozen Ropes batting cages in Rancho Bernardo, where Mike works, has offered to donate all proceeds this coming Saturday to the fund.
